<\/p> $\"isaiah-40-31\"$ <\/a>Isaiah 40:31 ~ But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their<\/em> strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and<\/em> they shall walk, and not faint.<\/strong>\n

For years I have heard people say don\u2019t pray for patience, because you are asking God to bring trials in your life.\u00a0 Well, I have learned that whether you pray for it or not, God has a way of bringing things, people or circumstances into your life to help shape you into the person He desires you to be.\u00a0 And that even means helping you to become more patient.<\/p>\n

When I woke up this morning, Juanita Bynum\u2019s song \u201cI Don\u2019t Mind Waiting\u201d was on my mind.\u00a0 Truth is I \u201cdo\u201d mind waiting.\u00a0 There are areas in my life that I struggle being patient.\u00a0 Like many of you, I have had seasons where it was a challenge to wait on God.\u00a0 Unfortunately, the not waiting normally results in you missing out on or the delay of God\u2019s best.<\/p>\n

So in those areas of our lives in which we struggle we cannot be afraid to bring them to God.\u00a0 We must be willing to go to God like David in Psalm 139:23-24, where he says<\/p>\n

\u201cSearch me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.\u00a0 See if there is any offensive way in me and lead me in the way everlasting.\u201d<\/p>\n

When we surrender ourselves to God, He can then transform and conform us for His purpose and destiny.\u00a0 And, yes, that includes growing in patience and waiting on God\u2019s best for us.<\/p>\n

Prayer:<\/strong> Lord. I pray to be a better \u201cwaiter\u201d; to be content in the times that you tell me to wait. Please help me to trust that what You are preparing me for is far better than anything that I could think, ask or imagine. Amen.<\/p>\n

Purpose in Action:<\/strong> What are you struggling with being patient about? Take it to God in prayer and ask Him to help you wait for Him.<\/p>\n
