Trusting God in the Lion’s Den

a0fa9ef800ef4667ed4917f3bfdf0366Daniel 6:23 ~ The king was overjoyed and gave orders to lift Daniel out of the den. And when Daniel was lifted from the den, no wound was found on him, because he had trusted in his God.

This world is filled with evil and corruption.  There are people who will deliberately attempt to bring you down, hurt or destroy you.  There are those who will manipulate, lie and deceive, just like the men who schemed to have Daniel thrown in the lion’s den.  But Daniel did not waiver in his faith, He trusted God to deliver him and the Father did just that.  Many times we try to avoid a trial or difficult situation, when God really wants to use that situation to show us more of Him and the depth of the love He has for us.  And to show those that plot against us just how powerful our God is.  God is our protector and will see us through our “lion’s den” experiences.

So whatever you are being confronted with today, trust that God has you covered.  And when He brings you out of your “den”, be sure to glorify Him, so that others will know of God’s goodness, power and mercy.  Remember, our experiences are not just for us.  There are others watching and God may use your situation to reveal Himself to them.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for seeing us through our “lion’s den” situations.  Even though others may set us up for harm; we know and trust that as Your children, no weapon formed against us shall prosper.  Through it all, we give You the praise, honor and glory.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Purpose in Action: What schemes has the enemy tried to attack you with in the past? How did God bring you out of that experience? Trust that God will do the same for whatever you are now experiencing.

For His Purpose,

LiKeisha

Change of Season

December 13, 2015 By LiKeisha Leave a Comment

Ecclesiastes 3:1 ~ There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens. Christ was born so that none of us would have to experience the seasons of life alone, whether they are joyous or seasons of sorrow. Just as we have seasons of the year, there are seasons in […]

Overcoming Lonely Places

December 6, 2015 By LiKeisha Leave a Comment

Luke 5:16 ~ But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed. (NIV) Some of you may be more familiar with the King James translation of this scripture that says Jesus withdrew into the wilderness.  I always just looked at this verse as Jesus taking time to be alone to pray, which we all should […]

Patiently Waiting

November 29, 2015 By LiKeisha Leave a Comment

James 5:7-8 ~ Be patient, then brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming.  See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains.  You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near. Waiting is a part of life.  Even in […]
