Inspiring Others to Live Life Purposefully

A Joyful Heart

d9d8f35ef22f6a3cc509df1f7b9e0c1bProverbs 17:22 ~ A joyful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit dries up the bones.

There have been times when I have tried to ignore or deny the pain in my heart.  I am learning that when you do not face your issues or you bury your brokenness, that your heart becomes corrupted.  And a corrupted heart is void of joy.  God allows hurt into our lives to help grow us and to draw us closer to Him.  He desires for us to recognize that He is the one that is the Caretaker of our heart.  When we surrender our pain to God, He pours His love over our wounds.  His love is our healing medicine and will restore our joy.  So whatever pain, hurt, or disappointment you are feeling right now, turn to God, the Doctor for your soul.  Allow Him to heal and make you whole again.

Prayer:  Lord, we thank You for Your healing power that not only heals our physical wounds but our heart wounds, as well.  We thank You for how You love us tenderly through our seasons of brokenness.  We pray that You will touch our broken spirits and give us Your joy so that we may be restored to wholeness through the power of the Holy Spirit that dwells within us.  Amen.

Purpose in Action: Take time this week to examine your heart and take the broken pieces to God; allowing Him to provide His loving healing.

For His Purpose,

LiKeisha

Change of Season

December 13, 2015 By LiKeisha Leave a Comment

Ecclesiastes 3:1 ~ There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens. Christ was born so that none of us would have to experience the seasons of life alone, whether they are joyous or seasons of sorrow. Just as we have seasons of the year, there are seasons in […]

Overcoming Lonely Places

December 6, 2015 By LiKeisha Leave a Comment

Luke 5:16 ~ But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed. (NIV) Some of you may be more familiar with the King James translation of this scripture that says Jesus withdrew into the wilderness.  I always just looked at this verse as Jesus taking time to be alone to pray, which we all should […]

Patiently Waiting

November 29, 2015 By LiKeisha Leave a Comment

James 5:7-8 ~ Be patient, then brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming.  See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains.  You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near. Waiting is a part of life.  Even in […]
